Poinsettia Elementary School will dedicate a new library during its annual Book Faire fund-raiser this month.
Joseph Spirito, Ventura’s schools superintendent, and Chuck Weis, Ventura County’s schools superintendent, are expected to attend the dedication, which begins at 7 p.m. on Nov. 21.
The 12,000-book library was moved to a larger room in the school over the summer.
The facility is funded entirely by the local Parent Teacher Organization and will be one of the few elementary school libraries in Ventura County that is open during lunchtime and after school, according to school officials.
The Book Faire will run from 4 to 9 p.m.
A variety of books, posters and computer software will be on sale.
The PTO will continue the book sale from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 24 and 25.
