SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — RemedyTemp Inc., a provider of business services staffing, reported a 44% gain in net income for the fiscal year on record revenue.
Net income rose to $10.2 million, or $1.13 a share, for the fiscal year ended Sept. 28, from $7.1 million, or 89 cents a share, for the prior year. Revenue rose 26% to $360.3 million from $285.5 million.
Fourth-quarter net income increased 50% to $3 million, or 33 cents a share, from $2 million, or 23 cents a share, for the like period of fiscal 1996. Revenue was up 21% to $99.9 million from $82.5 million.
The company’s initial public stock offering occurred July 11, 1996.
