Free Clinic Free of Rent, Thanks to City
* The Conejo Free Clinic would like to commend and thank the city of Thousand Oaks for its decision to purchase the Human Services Center building.
This purchase pays off the debt by Community Conscience, allowing the group to focus on maintaining the building and hopefully expanding it to provide more space to the nonprofit agencies housed there as well as bring in new agencies.
As an agency currently housed in the building, the Conejo Free Clinic is most grateful for being rent-free. The monies saved on rent can be used to provide services to those in need. The clinic has been an integral part of Conejo Valley since 1976, providing medical and legal services to those who have no access to care.
The city of Thousand Oaks is applauded for its efforts to provide the support needed by nonprofit groups to benefit the community. This is truly a city that thinks of its people.
