SIMI VALLEY — County fire investigators are continuing their search for the cause of a suspicious fire that gutted a Simi Valley home early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
According to authorities, the fire broke out on the bottom floor of a two-story home on the 2000 block of Casual Court shortly before 3:30 a.m.
Firefighters from six engine companies knocked the blaze down within minutes and had it under control at 4:15 a.m.
No injuries were reported and damage was estimated to be about $155,000.
Investigators labeled the fire suspicious because no one was home at the time and no obvious cause could be found.
