A little-known bargain source in Pasadena has a wide selection of window coverings, fabrics and wallpaper, which allows shoppers to coordinate colors and patterns and still realize considerable savings.

At the aptly named All In One, discounts on window coverings run anywhere from 50% to 70% off retail. For metal mini-blinds, you can count on 70%. Anyone looking for the new woven-wood shades will be pleased to know they’re available at 60% off retail.

Plantation shutters from Hunter Douglas are always in style, and these are about the best prices in town; $22.50 per square foot, which includes measuring and installation. These particular shutters are made of basswood, an important factor because basswood does not emit sap as do the woods used by many other manufacturers.

Also available are the Luminette line of sheer fabric verticals from Hunter Douglas at prices that reflect a discount of 35%, a healthy reduction for a product so new and trendy.

You’ll need to spend the day to plow through the 1,500 books of wallpapers from Imperial, Country, Ralph Lauren, Laura Ashley and many others--all offered at 30% off. To coordinate upholstery or drapery fabrics with your wallpaper selection, there are over 100 books of samples from most of the major names such as Robert Allen and Duralee (and some I cannot mention, but you’ll recognize them on sight). These are also 30% below retail.
