Meeting to Address Traffic Delays at Rail Crossings
- Share via
A community meeting seeking ideas about improving railroad crossings will be Dec. 4 at the Irvine Transportation Center, 15215 Barranca Parkway.
The Orange County Transportation Authority plans the 5:45 p.m. meeting as part of a long-range effort to examine crossings along its Metrolink line between San Juan Capistrano and Anaheim.
Orange County motorists face waits at rail crossings, and delays are expected to increase with expected growth in freight and passenger rail operations. Reducing those delays and targeting intersections with the longest waits for motorists will be the focus of the meeting, officials said.
Safety issues also will be addressed.
