Bibby Keeping Many Busy

USC has opened the season 3-1 for the third consecutive year.

Searching for a permanent seven-man rotation, Coach Henry Bibby continues to shuffle players in and out of the lineup. Nine players are averaging at least 15 minutes and in each of the last two games, against Loyola Marymount and UC Santa Barbara, five players have scored in double figures.

Kevin Augustine, who had complained of fatigue and dizziness last week, played 13 minutes in Tuesday night’s game against UC Santa Barbara. Augustine, a freshman, scored five points and had four turnovers as a reserve.

Junior Adam Spanich, who suffered a bruised knee against New Mexico and was questionable before Tuesday’s game, played 14 minutes and scored 10 points.
