Dragons Defeat Ice Dogs, 4-2

John Purves scored two goals and had an assist to lead the San Antonio Dragons to a 4-2 victory over the Long Beach Ice Dogs Friday in an International Hockey League game at Long Beach.

Long Beach’s Victor Ignatjev tied it, 1-1, with a power-play goal in the second period, but that was the Ice Dogs’ only conversion in nine power-play chances.
