ANAHEIM — In the latest big-eater alert to sweep the fast-food industry, Hardee’s, which was recently acquired by Anaheim-based CKE Restaurants Inc., plans to unveil a Big West Bacon Cheeseburger this week.
The hefty sandwich boasts double beef patties, three strips of bacon, two slices of cheese, pickles, onions and barbecue sauce on a roll. CKE also owns the Carl’s Jr. chain, which offers a Western Bacon Cheeseburger that has no pickles and comes on a regular bun.
