Readers Made the Trip Too

Thank you so much for the wonderful summer reading provided by Bob Sipchen on the American family. I loved the stories about the people they met along the road, the places they visited and the insight into their own family challenges. The Sipchens’ journey provided moments of joy, laughter, tears and nudges to my husband to “read this story” or ‘wouldn’t this be fun to do with our kids when they get older?”
To Bob, Pam, Ashley, Emily and Robert: Best wishes and many thanks for sharing your journey.

I read and enjoyed Bob Sipchen’s articles “On the Road With the Sipchens.” I read every one. I am glad to know the family is alive and kicking.
I am 91 years old. Sometimes I have wondered about family values today. Sipchen’s articles are reassuring.

The Sipchen family’s travels across the country this summer are proof to me that the American family is doing just fine. It also brought back wonderful memories to so many of us of our family vacations.

As a mother of two, I also worry about the state of the family in America today. I believe the media focus on the bad too often. As Bob Sipchen’s stories supported, the real world is filled with mostly good people and good parents who try their best.
