Officials to Hold Series of Town Hall Meetings

Concerned that most residents think of City Hall only as a building, the Carson City Council has planned a series of town hall meetings to inform residents about city services and create an opportunity to hear their concerns.
City officials are planning to host meetings in each geographic area of the city and hope that most residents will attend. The city plans to hold its first town hall meeting in the northern part of the city on Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Vernon Hall Memorial Park, 700 E. Gardena Blvd.
“We want citizens to feel more in touch with the city,” said spokeswoman Pam Wilde. “The meetings will help residents feel that they can approach the city while helping the city learn what the citizens’ concerns are.”
