Ventura Women Zero In

Ventura College scored three times in the first 15 minutes of the second half Tuesday en route to a 5-0 victory over Santa Monica in a Western State Conference women’s soccer match at Ventura.
Krista Janik scored two goals for the Pirates, who led, 1-0, at halftime.
Nicole Straky had four saves for Ventura (14-2-1, 7-0-1 in conference play).
In other women’s soccer matches:
Bakersfield 1, Moorpark 1--Britt Christiensen scored an unassisted goal in the 85th minute and the Raiders (6-5-1, 5-2-1) salvaged a tie with Bakersfield in a WSC match at Moorpark.
The Master’s 3, Biola 2--Stephani Shuster scored an unassisted goal with six minutes left for the Mustangs in a nonconference game at Biola.
Rachel Gassoway made 10 saves for the Mustangs (6-7), who were outshot, 20-9.
MEN’S GOLF
Big Sky Conference Tournament--Anthony Marciano shot a three-round total of three-over-par 219 to tie for third and Ryan Fowlkes had a 225 to finish ninth for Cal State Northridge, which shot 41-over-par 905 and finished fourth at Blackfoot Golf Club in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Cal State Sacramento claimed its second consecutive title with a score of 895.
