St. Sebastian’s Church is holding a Halloween fund-raiser to support recreational trips for underprivileged children.
The 8-month-old church program has taken local children on rock climbs, to a marine museum, and to the desert panning for gold, says youth coordinator John Rodriguez. “We’ll take nearly any kid from 8 to 18 who shows up,” he said. “They don’t have to belong to the church, and the trips are free.”
The fund-raiser, at 11607 Ohio Ave., will feature a haunted house with fog machines, assorted ghouls and black lights, he said.
Admission is $3. The haunted house is open 6 to 11 p.m. Friday and 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
