Newport Harbor, Junior, Cross-Country
Although McFall finished second in the Division III team sweepstakes race at the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational Saturday, she still led Newport Harbor to the team title. McFall finished the three-mile course in 18 minutes 21 seconds to give the Sailors the fastest team time. Heather Garritson of Buena Park won in 18:14.
Allyson Marquand/Cross-Country
* University, junior. Marquand finished third at the Cal Poly Pomona Invitational, completing the 5,000-meter course in 18:15.
Natalie Snowden/Volleyball/Outside hitter
* Fountain Valley, junior. Had team-high 20 kills in Barons’ four-game victory over then-No. 2 Marina and had 12 kills in three-game victory over Esperanza, ranked fifth in Division I-AA.
Monica Ralli and Lauren Teweles/Tennis
* Los Alamitos, seniors. They swept their six doubles sets to improve to 21-0 in league and 34-5 overall for No. 7 Griffins.
