Sue Grafton, whose 13 mystery novels have sold more than 18 million copies in the United States, will make an appearance Sunday to benefit KCLU 88.3 FM.
From 10 a.m. to noon, Grafton will be at Borders Books and Music, 125 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd. in Thousand Oaks, where she will be interviewed for KCLU’s “Beyond Words” program.
Grafton’s appearance coincides with Border’s Benefit Days to support the Cal Lutheran University-based radio station, Ventura County’s listener-supported National Public Radio affiliate.
Borders will donate to KCLU 15% of all proceeds from customers who mention KCLU at the time of purchase.
Grafton’s latest whodunit, “M is for Malice,” has a first-printing run of 1 million copies. She has won many writing awards.
She joins an impressive list of nationally known talents who have appeared on the program, including Charles Schulz, Dean Koontz, Ray Bradbury, Harlan Ellison and William Peter Blatty.
“Beyond Words” airs from 10 a.m. to noon Sundays and is repeated from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays.
