Fugitives, Information on Police Web Site

Residents now can visit their Police Department at a Web site, which includes a range of subjects from fugitives to issues facing the city and crime statistics.
The site, https://www.bppd.com, also lists police employees, with phone numbers, frequently asked questions and a message pad for direct communication.
Sgt. Ken Coovert, spokesman for the department, said the response to the site has been better than expected.
“We hope this will help to make our agency more accessible to the public,” he said.
