Monthly Readings of Shakespeare Set

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival, co-produced by Cal Lutheran University and the Santa Susana Repertory Company, will put on monthly Shakespearean play readings at Borders Books and Music in Thousand Oaks.
Kingsmen members will kick off the series with a presentation of the classic tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” at 2 p.m. Sunday. The condensed Reader’s Theatre version will feature professional actors, including Nile Padden, a former Royal Shakespeare Company member, and Lane Davies, artistic director of the Santa Susana Repertory Company. The play will be directed by David Himes.
The October production will be “The Tempest.”
