Cissy’s Lowers the Prices on Shoes, Jumpers and Jerseys

Cissy Wechter saw a need for an outlet store that would stock the goods of those small manufacturers who couldn’t afford a store devoted just to their overruns or samples. Thus Cissy’s Designer Outlet was conceived, and since May has been firmly established in Corbin Village.
The store is spacious and bright with great fashions at some very low prices. Wechter previously had a women’s apparel store in Calabasas, and an upscale retail store in Encino called Flair, so she is not without experience.

Bargains--In the Bargains column in Thursday’s Valley Calendar Weekend, the fax number rather than the store number was cited for Cissy’s Designer Outlet in Woodland Hills. The store’s number is (818) 888-1730.
You’ll find shoes starting at $12, T-shirts at $10, two-piece suits for $59 and jersey separates and sets in an array of colors (black is in stock year-round) from $12. Some Liz & Jane jumpers that would retail for $59 are tagged here at $24, which is just about wholesale.
One customer reports that she took a three-week European trip with one 22-inch suitcase containing a wardrobe almost entirely from Cissy’s. She had lots of Loco Lindo, some Liz & Jane, a short rayon dress by Kamellia, and a “fabulous white sweater” from Two by Two.
The sweater collection ranges in price from $50 to $60 for some handsome chenilles to $140 for Hilary Smith designs that retail around $300.

Weekend Super Sale: It’s clearance time on barbecue grill sets at Woodland Hills Fireplace. Prices here always reflect deep discounts but from today and through Sunday some models are reduced even more. Figure $100 savings on a Prochef model that retails for $840, usually sells here for $489, but this weekend is $389. Another Prochef that retails for $389, is regularly $249 and will be $149.
