Woman Found Dead by Roadside Is Identified

CALABASAS — A woman whose body was found by the side of a rural road has been identified as Jean Schwartz, 73, of Topanga, authorities said.
A driver found the body at about 7:40 a.m. Thursday on a turnout off Mulholland Highway about three miles east of Las Virgenes Road.
No clothes or other property belonging to Schwartz was found at the site, authorities said Friday.
The case is being investigated as a homicide, said Deputy Mark Bailey of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
