Bob Hawking’s new contract as Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball coach is a two-year extension that takes him through the 1999-2000 season, a university official said Friday.
Judith Anderson, university executive vice president, also said Hawking’s base salary is slightly more than $82,000 a year.
Hawking signed the contract Wednesday, but terms were not disclosed. Hawking said he was “very satisfied with the contract.”
Hawking’s old three-year contract expired March 31. Hawking, 48, completed his fourth season as head coach with a 38-70 record.

The first game of the Cal State Fullerton-Pacific baseball series in Stockton was postponed Friday because of rain. The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader beginning at 9 a.m. today.
