* Re “Pit Bull Attacks Boy, 6, His Baby Sitter,” March 17.
When are our elected officials going to show leadership on this issue? I believe special permits should be required (also for other breeds with records of attacking humans), along with training about the nature of the beast and owner responsibility and liability. I challenge lawmakers, Animal Services and responsible dog owners to do the right thing to end these attacks.
