Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks) will talk about environmental and transportation issues tonight at the annual membership meeting of a community group, officials said.
At the gathering of the Topanga Association for a Scenic Community, Sherman will address the problem of finding funds to purchase protected acres within the 150,000-acre Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, among other issues.
Sherman said Tuesday that he will also discuss the transportation bill pending in the U.S. Senate, which seeks to allocate $650,000 for improvements to the Pacific Coast Highway.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Topanga Community House, 1440 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd.
