* Mission Viejo at Trabuco Hills, 3 p.m. today: The Mustangs are off to a surprising 7-4 start but fell into a tie for second in the South Coast League after losing, 3-2, to Mission Viejo (7-5) Tuesday. Mission Viejo figures to see Trabuco Hills’ top pitcher, Nick Gelatka.
* Big West Invitational, Saturday--Wednesday: Servite plays El Toro at 9:30 a.m. at Irvine High to open one of the top spring break tournaments in the county. Other key first-round games include: Aliso Niguel against Long Beach Millikan, 10 a.m. at University High, and Irvine against Los Alamitos, noon at Windrow Park.
* Pride of the Coast, Saturday-Wednesday: Some of Saturday’s key first-round games include Corona del Mar hosting Laguna Beach at 11 a.m.; Simi Valley Royal vs. San Clemente, 2 p.m. at Newport Harbor and Costa Mesa hosting Lakewood Artesia at 11 a.m.
