On Monday, The Times published, on facing pages, the salary listings for the rosters of the Dodgers and the Angels. Why is there a need for this? I was able to learn that Matt Walbeck makes $475,000 a year. Who the heck is Matt Walbeck? I understand that these guys make loads of money, and that’s OK, but why does the paper continue to flaunt this? We’re better off not knowing this, I’m sure of it.
