Jacksonville Benefits from Kapler, Fick

Gabe Kapler (Taft High, Moorpark College) and Robert Fick (Newbury Park, Cal State Northridge) have helped Jacksonville, the Detroit Tigers’ double-A Southern League affiliate, to a nine-game winning streak. Kapler hit a three-run home run and drove in four runs Monday, raising his batting average to .319. The right fielder has driven in 13 runs in 11 games. Fick, a catcher, led the Midwest League with a .341 average last season. He is batting only .205, but has four doubles and a triple.
JETHAWKS
The JetHawks crushed the Modesto A’s, 11-4, Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader at Modesto.
The JetHawks also won the second game, 9-1, to complete the sweep and improve to 5-7.

Fans attending the game tonight can deposit their tax returns in mailboxes set up by the JetHawks at the turnstiles.
