Two men wanted in a series of rapes and robberies associated with automated teller machines have been arrested, police said Monday.
Paul Brown and Tishika Roberts, both 21, have been booked on multiple counts of robbery, kidnapping and sexual assaults involving six women in North Hollywood and Hollywood, Officer Mike Rippe said.
Four crimes that occurred between Feb. 8 and March 3 involved lone women entering their apartments, Rippe said. They were kidnapped, taken to ATMs and forced to withdraw money, he said. Two of the women were sexually assaulted, the officer said.
Brown faces 15 felony charges and Roberts faces nine, according to a complaint filed by the district attorney’s office. The charges against the defendants include rape, second-degree robbery, kidnapping for robbery, forcible oral copulation and sodomy, according to the court papers.
