Craig Falconer has resigned as Calvary Chapel boys’ basketball coach to return to private business. Bernie Francis, a former youth coach, will replace Falconer, Athletic Director Joe Walters said Tuesday.
Falconer, whose five-year record was 108-36, guided the Eagles into the Southern Section Division IV-AA championship game last season, where they lost to Santa Maria St. Joseph.
It’s the first high school head coaching job for Francis who was a director with National Junior Basketball, a youth basketball program based in Santa Ana.
