Command of the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center changed hands Wednesday, with 33-year Air Force veteran Maj. Gen. Eugene L. Tattini taking over the top spot.
Lt. Gen. Roger G. DeKok, who leaves the El Segundo base for an assignment at the Pentagon, handed off the base command to Tattini during ceremonies at the Fort MacArthur parade grounds in San Pedro.
Tattini previously was commander of the Sacramento Air Logistics Center at McClellan Air Force Base. He received his Reserve Officer Training Corps commission in 1965 after graduating from the University of Illinois. He holds a master’s of business administration degree from Oklahoma City University.
