Hundreds are expected to take to the streets tonight, Randolph Avenue to be exact, to dance, mingle, eat and be entertained at the expanded Brea Fest, the city’s largest annual cultural arts celebration.
The event, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Brea Civic & Cultural Center and surrounding Randolph Avenue, includes cuisine from more than 30 local restaurants.
Entertainment will include music from three bands, juggling and activities for children. Free performances will take place at the Curtis Theatre, according to Kathie DeRobbio of the city’s Community Services Department.
The cultural celebration is a community effort: More than 100 volunteers donate their time; restaurants contribute products; local dance and theater groups perform at no charge; and area businesses sponsor most of the entertainment.
Proceeds benefit Brea’s Cultural Arts programs. Admission and entertainment are free. Food coupons are $2.50 each.
