Girl, 11, Killed as Police Battle Suspect

An 11-year-old girl was killed and a 30-year-old woman was wounded when they were hit by bullets fired in a gun battle between a fleeing suspect and Phoenix police. The suspect was hospitalized with two gunshot wounds. Police said the battle erupted when a man fleeing a car with stolen plates fired at them.
