Council to Discuss Disneyland Shuttle
Will tourists of the next century find a high-tech electric shuttle bus to carry them between Disneyland and other resort stops, including the Arrowhead Pond, the Convention Center and hotels?
The City Council today will consider accepting $225,000 from the California Energy Commission to study the possibility of such a shuttle system.
Officials have estimated that the shuttle would cost between $8 and $10 million. About $2 million in grant money is already earmarked for the project.
Anaheim officials are working with businesses and groups, including the Walt Disney Co. and the Chamber of Commerce, to study the proposal.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. in the council chambers, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd. Information: (714) 765-5166.
