Man Suffers Minor Hand Injuries in Pipe Bomb Blast

LANCASTER — A man suffered minor injuries to both hands Monday when a pipe bomb he was handling exploded at a residence, according to authorities.
The victim was described only as an adult male resident of the house.
The accident occurred just before noon at a house in the 45800 block of Kingtree Avenue, said Deputy Michael Irving of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Bomb squad investigators were sent to the scene.
The incident remained under investigation late Monday, according to authorities. No arrests were made. No other injuries were reported.
