Accessibility of Waterfront Areas to Be Discussed

The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors will hold a public meeting tonight to discuss plans to improve Marina del Rey’s publicly accessible waterfront areas.
Julie Cook of the department’s Design Control Board said the panel is seeking public input about improvements such as paving, fencing, lighting, landscaping and the placement of benches and other furnishings.
The plans adopted will initially apply only to county-controlled parts of the marina, Cook said, and to hotels and apartment buildings on a voluntary basis.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Burton Chace County Park in the community building, 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey.
