Workshops to Aid Parents of Teens

Parents of preteens and teenagers are invited to a five-week series of workshops covering topics that include strengthening family relationships, building self-esteem, developing discipline, dealing with peer pressure and identifying alcohol and drug-abuse problems.
The classes will be held on consecutive Thursdays at 6:45 p.m. from March 5 to April 2 and are sponsored by the Ventura Unified School District. They will be held at Ventura Adult & Continuing Education, 5200 Valentine Road.
Classes are free. Parents may register by calling the school at 641-5200 or they may sign up the first evening.
