The city is beginning a contest, co-sponsored by the Moorpark Kiwanis Club, to choose a city employee of the year.
Through Friday, residents and business owners may nominate any full-time or part-time city worker they think has provided exceptional customer or community service.
The winner will be announced at a recognition luncheon March 4 and will receive a plaque, dinner for two at a local restaurant and other prizes.
The City Council, commissioners, city manager and city’s contractors are not eligible.
Nomination forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce, city library, senior center and City Hall. Information is available from Jill Myers at 529-8684, Ext. 217 and Dave Sakata at 523-0855.
