Gross Helps Germany Win Another Relay

NOZAWA ONSEN, Japan — Ricco Gross won his third consecutive gold medal in the men’s 4x7.5-kilometer biathlon relay on Saturday as Germany continued its domination of the event.
Norway won the silver medal, helped by the brilliant skiing of Ole Einar Bjoerndalen. Russia finished third.
Gross gave his country an 8.9-second first leg lead, which Sven Fischer extended to more than one minute by the end of the third leg.
Frank Luck finished for a combined time of one hour 21 minutes 36.2 seconds.
