Parents of new students and future kindergartners are invited to register their children for school next year with the Oak Park Unified School District.
Parents should pick up applications and register at their neighborhood school.
Registration begins March 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. for future students who already have siblings attending one of the district’s three elementary schools: Brookside, Oak Hills and Red Oak.
Other new students should register March 25 and 26, from 1 to 4 p.m.
To be eligible for kindergarten in September, children must have turned 5 on or before Dec. 2. Parents must bring original birth certificates, complete immunization records signed by a physician and their children’s Social Security number.
Parents will also need proof of residency, which may include rental agreements, escrow papers or tax bills; a driver’s license or proof of car insurance; and a utility bill other than for a telephone. Children need not be present to register. For more information, call the Oak Park school district at (818) 707-4224.
