OXNARD — City Council members next week will discuss the three finalists for the city manager’s job that has been vacant since February.
The finalists are Richard Ramirez, an interim public works director for Modesto; John Arnold, the former city manager for Eureka, and Edmund Sotelo, assistant city manager in Pasadena, sources said.
Council members hired an executive search firm to help pare a list of 33 applicants.
“As far as I’m concerned they are all equally qualified, but I can’t comment on it more than that,” Mayor Manuel Lopez said.
The council meeting is set for Tuesday, and the candidates will be discussed in closed session.
