Mall Face Lift, Beach Boulevard Project Top Agenda

A multimillion-dollar renovation of Buena Park Mall, as well as the city’s Super Street Project, which includes widening Beach Boulevard, top the city’s major projects for 1998.
“I just got word . . . that the necessary agreements have been secured with the three major businesses in the mall--Sears, Penney’s and Fedco--that will allow the interior renovations and the exterior face lift of the mall to move forward,” City Manager David Berger said.
The Super Street Project will put about $1 million toward upgrading the appearance of Beach Boulevard in the city’s entertainment area.
