Composting Is Topic of Free Workshops

Several cities are joining together to offer a series of workshops about how to recycle yard clippings and food scraps for use as compost for fertilizing soil.

The 90-minute workshops--sponsored by Buena Park, Anaheim, Brea, Fullerton, La Habra and Orange--are free.

Seminars will be held at the Fullerton Arboretum on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.

Those attending will receive a hands-on demonstration of composting, mulching, worm composting and “grasscycling.”

Seminars will be held on three Saturdays: Jan. 31, March 28 and May 30. The workshops will be held under the ash tree at the Arboretum, 1900 Associated Road, Fullerton.
