Dentist and Developer H.T. ‘Ted’ Stroscher, 89, Dies

Dr. Herbert Theodore “Ted” Stroscher, an Orange County dentist and developer, civic leader and philanthropist, has died at age 89.
A graduate of Santa Ana College and the USC School of Dentistry, Stroscher practiced dentistry for more than 50 years in Santa Ana. He was a captain in the Army Dental Corps during World War II.
Stroscher served as a member of the California Community Colleges Board and as president of the Santa Ana School Board and the Orange County Dental Society. He also was an elder in the Santa Ana Presbyterian Church. He was active in Rotary and the Orange County Pioneer Council.
He was a benefactor of Hoag and St. Joseph’s Medical Centers, the USC School of Dentistry, the Santa Ana and San Juan Capistrano libraries, the Orange County Center for the Performing Arts, Community Presbyterian Church of San Juan Capistrano and Mission San Juan Capistrano and the city’s Historical Society.
He died Dec. 26 in San Juan Capistrano.
