Clipper forward Lorenzen Wright, who sat out Saturday night’s 97-88 victory over the Dallas Mavericks because of a knee injury, has strained ligaments in his left knee, an MRI exam revealed Monday.
Wright didn’t practice Monday and will decide at game time whether to play tonight against the Sacramento Kings.
The Clippers can ill afford to lose Wright, who has averaged 16.4 rebounds in his last eight games.

Forward Rodney Rogers has been almost as effective as Wright, averaging 19.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists in his last five games. . . . Guard James Collins, activated from the injured list Dec. 4, scored his first NBA point in the final minute of Friday night’s 94-79 win at Golden State.
