WEEK AT A GLANCE: In leading the Eagles to the championship of the 16-team Walter Wong Invitational in Hawaii, Long shot 66% from the field, averaged 13.5 points in four games and was named most valuable player. Long had 23 points and 11 rebounds in the Eagles’ 55-46 victory over La HABRA Sonora in the final.

SEASON AT A GLANCE: Galbreath, a 5-foot-10 center, is averaging a team-best 14.6 points and is a major reason the Highlanders (13-1) have a 13-game winning streak and are ranked No. 3 in the region by The Times.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Her layup with three seconds to play gave Royal a 65-63 victory over Alemany in the championship game of the Bell-Jeff tournament. Galbreath, who scored 27 points in the final, scored 61 points in four tournament games and was chosen most valuable player.
