Charter Panel Weighs Finance Department

A public meeting on Los Angeles City Charter reform will be held today.
Appointed officials with the City Charter Reform Commission will discuss whether a city Department of Finance should be created to improve and streamline the fiscal management of the city. The session will be held at 6 p.m. at the DWP building, Room 1555H. Information: (213) 367-5234.
