Police arrested two men and were searching for a third Wednesday night after officers discovered a methamphetamine lab, police said.
The suspected drug-makers, described only as Mexican nationals, were arrested after a suspicious neighbor in the 13100 block of Partridge Street reported an odor, and officers arrived to find an apartment “empty except for the meth and two high-powered rifles,” according to Garden Grove Police Sgt. Mark Byrne.
One of the three men bolted and was chased by one officer while the other two suspected drug-makers wrestled with a second officer, Byrne said. No one was hurt in the melee, but one man escaped, he said.
Byrne said “several pounds” of finished methamphetamine were found at the site, along with components for another “20 to 30 pounds” of the drug.
