Aimee Copp Fullerton, Sophomore

Copp, from Fullerton High, didn’t play basketball until her senior year in high school. She sat out last season but has shown the benefits of all her time spent practicing. Copp averaged 20 points in four games and was selected as the most valuable player when the Hornets won their own tournament last Tuesday. She had eight of Fullerton’s 16 points in overtime of an 80-68 victory against Irvine Valley.

Mark Perry
Golden West, Sophomore
Basketball/Guard
Perry, from Garden Grove High, more than doubled his season average in a 35-point performance as the Rustlers beat San Diego City, 71-64, Saturday. Perry made eight of 10 three-pointers and was 10 of 15 overall from the field in the game. Four of his threes gave Golden West the lead, including his last that put the Rustlers ahead for good, 65-63, with 2 minutes 41 seconds left. Perry increased his average to 16.5 points and had 36 three pointers this season.

* Saddleback, freshman. Scored 70 points and had 20 rebounds in three games in the Santa Ana tournament.
