‘Nutcracker’ in a Can

On Dec. 21, I attended a performance of the Los Angeles Classical Ballet production of “The Nutcracker” at the Terrace Theatre in Long Beach.
This is an annual event for my daughters, two granddaughters and myself. We were shocked, disappointed and incensed to discover there was no orchestra. Can you believe canned music in a cultural metropolis, one that considers itself a cultural leader?
It didn’t even occur to me to inquire if there was an orchestra when I purchased the tickets. I thought that was a given.
