Sidney Resnick; Retired Carwash Owner

Retired carwash owner Sidney Resnick of Camarillo died Saturday following a brief illness. He was 83.
Resnick was born Nov. 4, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had lived in Ventura County for 20 years. He once owned a carwash in Culver City.
Resnick is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anne; daughters Teri Zohar of West Los Angeles and Roberta Purvis of Topanga; sister Florence Friedman of Maryland; and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Women’s American ORT.
A chapel service is scheduled for Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Islands, Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo, with Rabbi Morton Wallach officiating. Burial will follow in the park.
