* A free two-hour workshop on thoroughbred ownership will be presented by Thoroughbred Owners of California from 8 to 10 a.m. on Jan. 24 at Santa Anita Park.
Topics of discussion will include how to acquire a thoroughbred, choose a trainer, and the costs of ownership. Participants also will visit Santa Anita’s barn area.
Although attendance at the workshop is free, reservations are requested.
