IRVINE — Diedrich Coffee Co. said that chief operating officer Kerry W. Coin resigned to pursue other interests. Coin joined the company from Boston Pacific, the Southern California franchisee of Boston Market restaurants.
He became president last April upon the resignation of the company’s former chief executive, Steven A. Lupinacci.
Diedrich, a 38-store coffee chain based in Irvine, said Coin would not be replaced. In December, former Taco Bell Corp. Chairman John Martin took control of Diedrich and brought in former Taco Bell marketing guru Tim Ryan as chief executive.
